The Manor Rise Academy, designed by ADM Group, is the newest addition to the Manor Independent School District. The school will be the first of it’s kind for the district, housing kindergarten through eighth grade students. As a “tech-prep” campus, it was important for the school to have the latest in technology, and also for the design concept to represent the sequence and connections throughout a student’s education and into their future career. The school has a common curved corridor that acts as a conduit connecting the various buildings along it’s path. Each building houses different grade levels or shared spaces that include science and arts classrooms, collaboration areas, administration offices, and a bridge that overlooks the Media Center and Cafeteria. Athletic facilities include an athletic wing with locker rooms and weight room, as well as a full-size competition gym for middle school students. A PE gym was also designed with the ability to open to the cafeteria and stage for multi-purpose events and performances. The interior finishes and patterns reflect the concept, as well as represent the school colors and mascot. Outside, the school boasts a football field, a running track, a basketball court, playgrounds, and outdoor learning environments.
