Larkspur Elementary presented a challenge: how to construct a new K-8 school on an occupied campus. Working with a CM@Risk contractor, ADM Group presented an on-budget design for this difficult phased construction. The team completed construction in one school year, while carefully protecting students from the nearby work.

 

The 77,000 square foot project incorporates an existing ten classroom building into the new school design. Following the new construction, the remaining old school buildings were demolished to provide the needed space for new parking lots, including a smaller parking lot specifically for Kindergarten and Preschool use, and a separation between bus lanes and parent drop-off to improve student safety and comfort.
