Arrowhead Elementary School

Deer Valley Unified School District No. 97

Glendale, Arizona

84,241 Square Feet

Arrowhead Elementary School is one of the latest in a series of Deer Valley Unified School District’s Modernization Programs. The scope of the work included renovation of approximately 80,000 square feet of classroom, administrative, cafeteria, media center, and other ancillary spaces. The campus was originally built in 1987 with additional classrooms added in 1990 and a new multi-purpose building in 2008. In addition to campus space renovations, the project included upgrades to the parent and bus drop-off, upgraded lighting, upgraded interior finishes, relocation of computer labs and tech spaces, electrical distribution upgrades, and landscaping. As with most modernizations, Arrowhead had its share of challenges including improvement of infrastructure, budget, and time constraints, to name a few. Fortunately, these obstacles are overcome by having an experienced design and construction team.
